Song and Lyrics By Jimmy YeHonestly NDP2008 was the first time I heard this song.. Though I heard it during the dance, it also did not really appeal to me. But cause I was doing up the NDP blog.. I thought what other better song could be put then to put the NDP Song. So I went to search.. and when I heard the song on my laptop.. I fell in love with it. The tune did not really get my attention.. what got my attention was the lyrics and the meaning of the song. After living in Singapore for so many years, have I done anything substancial for the country. All I did was.... perhaps make use of the Education System, complain about it... .and pass my life... but have I done anything for Singapore? Like major contributions or something? hahaha.. Well, you all should know the answer lah..
However this year, 090808, would probably mark the first contribution I have given to the country. As cliche as it may sound, its really a priveileige. Some people may have lived a life time in Sinagpore and still not contributing other than the taxes that they pay.
Can I encourage you to tag on the tagboard... at the end of this NDP Season.. what is it you wish to see yourself change in or grow in... Grow not in terms of size cause of all the KFC.. but grow in your character..You know what, I realise this Song links with my previous post which talks about Sm:)ing...

You know some of us may feel... I have nothing to give to Singapore as compared to the rich people.. I have nothing to give to Singapore cause I am young.. Regardless of age, I belive all of us are able to make the above para of song come to pass. All that makes a diff is that sm:)e you give to others. Will you be the one that will greet other with a smile on your face and make a difference to Singapore?
May you be blessed by this Song.. and truly answer in your heart... Will You do all these for Singapore? i I believe NDP is a small step to contribute to Singapore.. :)
